The Moment…
I remember the day I woke up from quarantine, attended my pre-recorded master graduation ceremony in my sweat pants alone. Finally, I decided to stop playing the blame game. I reflected on my life with the Japanese concept of “Ikigai,” which means “a reason for being” to a long and happy life.
After evaluating my passion, vocation, profession, and mission, I discovered a common thread of wanting to understand people and connecting communities to make a positive impact on society in some way.
I then left my steady job, one of the hardest decisions I have made, to start my UX journey. There have been some ups and down moments. But seeing my design helps people and organizations to engage and connect. I feel great fulfillment.
This journey has also led me to meet amazing people who have by my side push boundaries of creativity and help to strategize ideas of the best steps forward. I am grateful. :)
